How can I install CMS on a computer where there is no C: drive?

PROBLEM:  You want to install CMS on a computer on a computer that for some reason does not have a functioning C: drive installed.

SOLUTION:  Follow the Single User or Network Installation instructions to install CMS on the computer.

Once CMS has been successfully installed, from the Windows Desktop, right click the CMS icon and choose Properties.

Go to the Shortcut tab and look for the Target.  Change the Working Directory setting -W to point to the actual drive letter.  Click OK.

In the registry editor change the following locations from drive C to the actual drive letter;

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Borland\Database Engine\CONFIGFILE01 HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Borland\Database Engine\DLLPATH

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Borland\blw32\BLAPIPATH

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Borland\blw32\LOCALE_LIB1

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Borland\blw32\LOCALE_LIB7

You should now be able to get into CMS without errors!
